Alfred Lape

Born in Seattle, Washington, Alfred was exposed in his childhood in the arts by his mother Nanette.   He majored in History at the University of Washington.   A self-taught fashion designer, he was able to refine his knowledge in fashion design and skills in tailoring with the help of his mentor Jacque Goldsmith.  With a heightened passion for fashion, Alfred started his brand LAVSH in 2007 at the age of 23. A men’s line with a style mantra of cool urban vibe and tailored aesthetic.  These were sold to local boutiques in Seattle and in his online store.  In June 2009, he relocated his studio in Los Angeles California where his production operates and continues till this day.  He is currently working on LAVSH’s women’s line to launch in SPRING 2011. Check him out at  His work is worn by artist like Black Eye peas, Chris Brown, Neyo and other celebrities.

Chris Jasler - Jail Jeans

Chris Jasler made his start in the fashions industry as a sought after male model. Eventually thru his years of modeling he developed an eye for design detail. During that time he simultaneously was secretly experimenting with garments, buying basic designed jeans and deconstructing them to his own aesthetics.

After observing that the designs in the international market was pretty saturated with practically the same designs both in men’s and women’s wear. Chris envisions that his brand Jail Jeans will go international and he is making all efforts for it to happen.  Jail Jeans is being sold and distributed in Singapore.

Eric De Los Santos

Eric was among the top 10 in the Fashion Design Council of the Philippines competition held in Manila recently.  This feat made him the region's representative to the Concours International Des Jeunes Creatueurs de Mode (International Competition of Young Fashion Designers) in Paris, France this December.

He was able to hone his fashion expertise by studying Experimental Fashion Design, Fashion Forecast, Street Style London and Fashion London at St. Martins, London.

Apart from that, De los Santos, who's into vintage looks - girlie, soft and sexy of the 60s and 70s - creates bags to go with the designs he makes. These clutch bags come as a bonus - another service that keeps him apart from other designers.

Vania Romoff

Fluidity, graceful construction, dramatic draping in slinky fabrics in subdued tones—these are the hallmarks of Cebu-bred fashion designer Vania Romoff's latest collection called Fluid. The same characteristics could be used to define her design aesthetic now as a budding designer (she made the cut to Preview's Ten Designers to Watch this year), and will no doubt be the same trademarks that will individuate her from the rest of the country's fashion design flock in the following years.

This young designer—a beautiful creature in her own right—was born into a family of fashion-involved personas, so it's no wonder that she takes to designing so naturally and seemingly effortlessly. But she has continuously worked hard to achieve the recognition Preview is bestowing her now, and we have no doubt that acclaim for her will rise some more.
